Electrotherapy modalities can be used along side manual techniques for a variety of influences including improving circulation, providing pain relief, to reduce oedema, to improve muscle extensiblity by reducing adhesion formation,influencing fibrous tissue, to improve neural function and muscle responsiveness to name a few effects. They are applied using clinical reasoning in relation to the condition your horse presents and to their beneficial effects.
